Blood Like Turpentine (free) 04:07
I was born in a black coal mine On the Spanish countryside I've got blood like turpentine My dad he works in the mill that's where he's working still He strikes that old anvil O I've been down that road I've been long gone I've traveled up from the East out to the West Now I'm on my way back home Wherever I may roam When I die you send me home By the oceans white with foam When that sky turns dark and gray over Californ-i-ay there's gonna be hell to pay O I've been down that road I've been long gone I've traveled up from the East out to the West Now I'm on my way back home I'm winding down that lonely road From Santa Fe to El Paso I'm headed for Mexico, straight for Mexico After miles and miles of sand The desert can break a man I've got my dagger in my hand O I've been down that road I've been long gone I've traveled up from the East out to the West Now I'm on my way back home

Ay Ay Ay (free) 04:39
I saw a man on the rails He'd been riding for years just killing the pain with the train and the beers He was singing a song it was simple and sad about the places he'd known the friends that he'd had It went: Ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay Passing the boneyard by the old turnpike heavy memories and rusted railspikes on the Erie line Lackawana below just singing his song bout the sorrows hes known It went: Ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay ay ay

The Ballad of Plancho Villa I’m a hard working man Just living off the land In an honest kind of way I run my business like a locomotive From Illinois to Minnesota I pick my flowers every day That's how I earn my pay My name is John Chapman There’s no telling where I’ve been I’ve lived from shore to shore And I got what you want if that’s what you’re asking From New York City out to Nebraska The people keep coming back for more Till the police came knocking on my door ‘O let me in’ they said But it was local not the feds So baby I don’t got no fear And without a warrant and without a motive I jumped in a truck back to Minnesota To crop my last harvest of the year But I’ve gotta learn to steer I woke up to the sound Of sirens all around And blood mixed with glass on the tar But I wouldn’t live life in a cold steel cell So I picked myself up and I ran like hell I started running far Down South to the old Lone Star And when I finally arrived at last I’d arrived at Eagle’s Pass My spirits they were running low So I ordered up a drop of the doctors orders Just 10 mile north of the southern border When the law came from Del Rio So I crossed into Mexico Y cuando llegue yo Me vesti in cuero negro De pronto un kilo compre Y no me puse nerviosa Yo tengo amigos por todas costas Y cuando la policia ve Mi pistola yo saque Escopetazo yo tire But I wasn’t getting shot that day Yo apunto para matar So I fired off a round as a safety warning Than I left 4 dead that July morning And I jumped into a stolen car La mota para motorizar En la vista por detras Con navaja nada mas A Federale’s riding after me He followed behind in a black gypsy cab He was wounded in the side and ready for the stab Yo saque mi machete I fuckin stabbed him and ran away Soy traficante That’s how I earn my pay Through the desert by the light of the moon I travel the routes that no one knows With my bag on my shoulders and my boots on my toes Over them old sand dunes Just singing them Hank Senior tunes “Some folks might say that I’m no good That I wouldn’t settle down if I could But when that open road starts to calling me There’s something over those hills that I just gotta see Well I know it’s hard, but you gotta understand When the Lord made me, he made a ramblin’ man” And so I do what no one says As I sit by the Sea of Cortez I’ve grown rich and wise And now they call me Plancho Villa The American king of the Sensamilla As I lay back and close my eyes And drink a Tequila Sunrise

Today Out In The Woods (free) 06:03
Today Out In The Woods Today out in the woods The sun was hanging low in the sky like a blazing god of fire And I listened to the weeping winds sings songs like an ancient choir Today out in the woods As darkness fell upon the land and the cold of night prevailed I followed signs of a lunar path and the future was unveiled And I heard that lonesome whippoorwill Today out in the woods As I came upon a sacred land the winds began to howl A light rose up from the hallowed earth and I saw the great horned owl Today out in the woods As I heard the sound of a future voice make a pained and lonesome cry I fell to me knees and closed my eyes and I called out to the sky Kaw-liga is my name and my spirit is tsa-la-gi Who is this lonesome creature that is calling out to me Kaw-liga Now that I’ve told you my name I only ask that you would do the same I just stood there in amazement as that Indian spoke to me He threw his head into the sky and shouted in Cherokee Kaw-liga He would never let it show He would never answer yes or no Today out in the woods I met with an ancient Indian with a heart of knotty pine He taught me a lonesome melody and it came from a long-gone time Today out on the town I walked into an antique store and saw an Indian staring at me I looked into his wooden eyes and I said ‘who could this be?’ Kaw-liga, he would never let it show He would never answer yes or no

Wreck Your Soul (free) 02:57
Wreck Your Soul Come on down and wreck your soul I’ll meet you in the middle for your weight in gold I aint never been to heaven but I’ve been told It’s like eternity without parole Up on the mountains too high to climb You can here the angels sing in perfect time I’ve been higher than high, I’ve been lower than low Come on down and wreck your soul Come on down and wreck your soul Down in the darkness that’s blacker than coal You forget about your problems, forget about your goals Forget about the burdens you were asked to hold Out in the forests to deep to find There’s a tree grows to heaven, can you brave the climb? Stick to the lowgrounds if you pay the toll Come on down and wreck your soul Come on down and wreck your soul Make your way down with a bullet hole Cause in the depths we don’t got gun control So put a pistol in your hand, fuck the border patrol Way down here where the sun don’t shine What’s yours is yours, what’s mine is mine And we only trade a half for a whole Come on down and wreck your soul
